Midi Compositions

All pieces zipped together (54 KB)
(except "Mama's Liedje" and unfinished new stuff).

Bari Mart (A Good Man) the music (classical style)
and how it was done.
Dedicated to a lost son from Armenia.
Here is an MP3 rendition of the piece, as I intend it to sound (like on my Roland SC-7).

El Moreno, the music (tango-like style)
and how it was done.

MidLife, the music (classical style)
and how it was done.

rcicaat@hdetud2, the music (James Last -like style)
and how it was done.
This piece was used (: broken link here) as background music on the Web.

Voor Rian, the music (classical style)
and how it was done.

Annemiek, the music (classical style)
and how it was done.

Voor Elly, the music (modern style)
and how it was done.

Easy Way, the (background) music (modern style)
and how it was done.

Fuga & interludium, the music (classical style)
and how it was done.
Another version of this piece was done for Yamaha HC-2 as the organ
and Roland SC-7 as the orchestra (strings). Since this combination is highly unlikely,
I decided to render this song in MP3 format.

1973-f Kohoutek, the music (classical style)
and how it was done.
This comet would become brighter than full moon,
but couldn't even be detected without a telescope.

Orgelstuk, the music (classical style)
and how it was done.

Vanessa Mary, the music (classical style)
and how it was done.
After a beautiful English girl (summer of 1971).
It's my very first original composition actually.

Mama's Liedje, the music (modern style)
for Yamaha Electone HC-2 only!
Since the combination of this MultiKeyboard with a decent MS-DOS or Windows 2000 Midi (Karaoke) player is highly unlikely,
I decided to render this song in MP3 format. And for those among you who want to perform this song on the keyboard, score
has been rendered (semi-automatically): 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 .

Midi Karaoke

I would like to recommend the free (but excellent) MS-DOS Midi Karaoke Player by Henry So in the first place. If a Windows (95) version is to be preferred, then you could use a decent player which is included in KARAKAN (by Ewin van Veldhoven).
However, my absolute favorite Midi Karaoke Player is: Click for a free download!
Crux Fidelis, the music,
and how it was done.

Lullaby of Birdland, the music
and how it was done.

Meteoor (Something Strange)
Music by Edwin van Veldhoven
Lyrics by me

Iedereen op Internet (STOP)
Music by Edwin van Veldhoven
Lyrics by me

Die blik in je ogen (That Look in your Eyes)
Music by Edwin van Veldhoven
Lyrics by me
and how it was done.

Mama's Liedje
and accompanying Lyrics.
for Yamaha Electone HC-2 only!
For those among you who want to perform this song on their own keyboard, score
has been rendered (semi-automatically, in PDF format): 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 .
Since the combination of this MultiKeyboard with a decent MS-DOS or Windows 2000 Midi Karaoke player is highly unlikely,
I decided to render this song in MP3 format. I have not found a sensible way to include real singing, using my own voice
and the humble sound-studio equipment (2 old microphones) I have access to at home ;-)

Ave Maria, the music
and how it was done.

Jubilate Deo omnis terra (Orlando di Lasso), the music
and how it was done.
"Jubilate" is actually a polyphonic piece,
which can only be played properly with a dedicated Karaoke player, which only works for MS-DOS, unfortunately.

Wilhelmus, the music,
accompanying Lyrics, how it was done,
and some background information (in Dutch).

Herewith are a few pieces from the Passion according to St. Matthew by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 244).
The accompanying Midi Music was downloaded from the Classical Midi Archives.

Blute nur, du liebes Herz, the music
and how it was done.

Gebt mir meinen Jesum wieder, the music
and how it was done.

Mache dich, mein Herze, rein, the music
and how it was done.

Xmas Karaoke / Kerstliedjes

All pieces zipped together (19 KB)
Now with proper Key and Time Signatures, which is useful to produce classical score
or KlavarSkribo. The latter can be done with my Turbo Pascal programs.

Maria die zoude naar Bethlehem gaan,
the music, the lyrics (Dutch) and how it was done.

Wij komen tezamen (Adeste Fideles),
the music, the lyrics (Dutch) and how it was done.

O, kindeke klein,
the music, the lyrics (Dutch) and how it was done.

Hoe leit dit kindeke,
the music, the lyrics (Dutch) and how it was done.

Er is een kindeke geboren op aard',
the music, the lyrics (Dutch) and how it was done.

De herdertjes lagen bij nachte,
the music, the lyrics (Dutch) and how it was done.

Midden in de winternacht,
the music, the lyrics (Dutch) and how it was done.

Nu zijt wellekome,
the music, the lyrics (Dutch) and how it was done.

I could find only One other WebPage with original Dutch Christmas Songs (music and texts):
Tons of X-mas Midi's from other countries can be found on the Web.
Geez, where is our national self-respect !?
The Dutch Christmas songs are among the most beautiful in the world.

Toccata & Fuga in D-minor (J.S. Bach), the music
Actually my first MIDI sequence, which sounds good on my Yamaha Electone HC-2 .
Since the combination of a HC-2 organ with a computer and a Midi player is rather unlikely,
I decided to render this piece in MP3 format. (Known bugs: two chords in the Toccata are wrong,
because at the upper keyboard of a HC-2 no more than 7 notes can be played simultaneously.)

CopyLeft Notice

The one and only truth about CopyRight is that it doesn't work!. Therefore, all of my material is CopyLefted, though I took the freedom to put my name and adresses into the last track of the compositions. (Because everybody nevertheless wants to have his stamp in the Hall of Fame, of course ;-)
